Elizabeth was elected as the Councillor for Horbury & South Ossett in May 2010.
Born and raised in Lanarkshire Scotland Elizabeth is married to Stan with five grown up children and twelve grandchildren.
Working with her husband in their family business, they manufactured quality window frames and doors for the building industry. They also found time to refurbish and modernise three properties.
Now retired Elizabeth and Stan sing together in a choir and are very active in fundraising for three societies. They also raise funds for national and local charities.
Elizabeth is interested in senior citizens and supporting the elderly in nursing homes.
